Light Therapy Resource Premium Red Light Therapy Wrap FAQ

by Sandra Burkhart

We think our Premium Red Light Therapy Wrap is a cut above the competition. But we understand the market is flooded with devices that all look the same and it can be challenging figuring out which device to select, other than price! But not all devices are made equally! That's why we wanted to share a few key highlights that set our wrap apart from our competitors! We also wanted to take a few minutes to answer a few red light therapy FAQ's to allow you to make an informed decision.

  • Added blue wavelength to tackle skin level issues such as cuts, scrapes, blisters, acne, eczema and psoriasis
  • Option of steady versus pulsing mode - pulsed light is believed to be more effective for pain management than steady light (steady light is standard on most devices)
  • Wireless option for use on the go
  • 2 stands to allow for flexible positioning of the wrap to be used on places such as the face
  • Convenient, 20 minute auto shut off timer
  • High quality, triple stitched threading, built to last!
Below are answers to some red light therapy FAQ's and FAQ's regarding our wraps:
Q: How does light therapy work?
A: Light therapy works by exposing the body to specific wavelengths of light, which can penetrate the skin and stimulate various biological processes, such as increased circulation and the production of cellular energy.
Q: What conditions can light therapy treat?
A: Light therapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including seasonal affective disorder (SAD), acne, skin aging, sleep disorders, and pain management.
Q: Is light therapy safe?
A: When used as directed, light therapy is generally considered safe. However, following the manufacturer's instructions and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any underlying health conditions or concerns is essential.
Q: How long does it take to see results from light therapy?
A: The timeline for seeing results from light therapy can vary depending on the condition being treated and the individual's response. Some people may experience improvement in symptoms within a few days to a few weeks of starting treatment.
Q: Is it safe for the wrap to be directly against my skin?
A: Yes. This is a direct therapy device, which means it is meant to be used directly against or very close to the skin in order to be the most effective. Just lightly rest it or fold it around the body part you are targeting, use the included Velcro strap if desired, sit back and relax! Please use caution around sensitive areas of skin.
Q: Can I use the wrap more than once a day?
A: Yes. If you are experiencing acute pain, it's OK to use the wrap as the pain returns. But start out slowly, always listen to your body and give yourself at least 2-3 hours between sessions so your body has time to use the energy. Chronic pain is a bit trickier, but we recommend setting up a consistent daily schedule, start with once a day sessions and add on a second session if desired. Again, always listen to your body and it's OK to experiment with the amount of time.

Q: How long should I use the wrap on a particular area?
A: There is an automatic 20 minute timer built into the wrap. This is the appropriate amount of time to use the wrap per session, per area, directly against the skin. Remember, as you move farther away from the device, you will lose light output.
Q: Can I use the wrap somewhere else on my body after I'm finished with my session?
A: Yes, you are welcome to move to another area of the body, but please allow the wrap to cool down for a few minutes between sessions.
Q: Do I need to wear eye protection during my light therapy session:
A: While the research is still ongoing in this area, we recommend wearing eye protection while using light therapy. Additionally, do not stare directly into the light without eye protection. Safety goggles are included with your wrap purchase.
Q: What do I do if I am having issues with my wrap?
A: Contact us! We are here to assist and want you to be completely satisfied. You are purchasing from a U.S. Brand and we offer a 1 year manufacturer's warranty with all Premium Wrap purchases.
Are there suggested uses or an explanation of which light color to use for which issue I want to address?
A: Yes, the user manual contains information regarding suggested uses in addition to general use and care instructions. However, the basic function of the device includes 3 settings. The pink light includes all 3 wavelengths (red, near-infrared and blue). The red light combines the red and near-infrared wavelengths. The blue light contains only the blue wavelength.
  • Blue Light – use on various skin concerns, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and general cut and scrapes. Do not use on an actively bleeding wound. Think skin level penetration when using blue light. Pro tip! Follow up the blue light with the red light to promote faster wound healing!
  • Red Light - use on wrinkles, fine lines, sun/age spots, sore muscles, arthritis, and general aches and pains. Also decreases pain and inflammation and promotes faster wound healing! Think deeper penetration when using the red light setting.
  • Pink Light - use for general health and wellness benefits when not targeting a specific issue or concern.
